Welcome to the #1 fan site of famous BollyWood Actress Udita Goswami. Here you will find her latest news, biography, pictures, wallpapers and more...
Were you under any pressure since many feel that models turn out to be wooden actors?
Apart from Bipasha and John, not too many models have really been able to make it big in the film industry. But if you have someone like Pooja Bhatt directing you, there isn't any problem. She, being an actor herself, used to enact the scenes and I had to just copy her.
Was it difficult to shoot in Spiti?
It definitely was. During the initial days of shooting, I fell so ill that I had to be admitted to a hospital. I wasn't feeling well and yet I had milk. Later on, I came to know that they had served me yak's milk. I fell sick since I couldn't digest it. There was just one hospital at Spiti and that too didn't have a loo! I was on drip and everytime I had to go to the loo, I actually had to rush to the hotel. All through the shooting schedule, I survived only on kichdi.
What is special about the Udita-John pair in Paap?
Both of us have a modelling background and don't have stars to back us. But the audience will be able to say what they find special about us on screen. May be, it's something like the chemistry between Shah Rukh and Kajol. They don't have anything between them off screen. Yet the audience love to see them together on screen.
Are you open to item numbers?
No, I am not doing that. I don't have a problem showing the skin if the script so demands. But if the director wants to do that for the sake of titillation, I'll never agree.
Have you quit modelling?
Yes. Modelling is a lot easier job. You just need a good face and figure to pull off. You don't need talent for modelling. But for films, you need to be talented to be able to cut a niche above the rest. After Paap, I want to do films with substance.
